In the third match, Ireland batted first after losing the toss, scoring 206 runs in 46.3 overs. They lost their first wicket at a score of 19, with Andrew Balbirnie departing for just 7 runs. Captain Paul Stirling then partnered with Cade Carmichael to add 44 runs for the second wicket off 50 balls.

Stirling scored 23 runs off 31 balls before being dismissed, while Carmichael contributed 32 runs from 52 balls, hitting four boundaries. Ireland struggled after losing five wickets for 89 runs and lost their eighth wicket at 128 runs.

Jay Mundra and Gavin Hoey put together a crucial partnership, adding 76 runs for the ninth wicket off 97 balls, helping the team surpass 200 runs. Hoey scored 36 runs with two fours, while Mundra made 31 runs off 33 balls, hitting five fours. For Afghanistan, A.M. Gzhanfar and Rashid Khan each took three wickets, while Yameen Ahmadzai claimed two wickets.

In response, Afghanistan chased down the target in 44.5 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran set a solid foundation with a 53-run partnership for the first wicket. Zadran scored 12 runs before being dismissed, but Gurbaz continued to build momentum, adding 31 runs with Sedikullah Atal for the second wicket.

Gurbaz scored 71 runs off 77 balls, hitting five sixes and two fours, while Hashmatullah Shahidi contributed 22 runs. Rashid Khan remained unbeaten with 37 runs, including four boundaries. For the hosts, Gavin Hoey took four wickets for 34 runs, while Mark Adair claimed two wickets and Byron McDonough took one.
