Indian student arrested at German airport for plotting to murder American girlfriend and escape

An Indian student has been charged with murdering his girlfriend in America. The accused was arrested at an airport in Germany while trying to flee. The deceased has been identified as Ruby Salazar (19). She was a US citizen.

According to several US media reports, the Indian student’s name is Varun Bachigari. He was studying at the University of Arizona. Ruby was a student of that educational institution. From there, the love between the two began. Ruby lived in a flat in Tucson. However, Varun lived in a separate flat. It is known that although they were in a long-term relationship, there were often arguments between the two. It is also alleged that Varun physically and mentally abused his girlfriend. Not only that, Ruby was also trying to get out of this bitter relationship.

It is learnt that Ruby’s family members were unable to contact her on Thursday. They were forced to inform the police. Investigators rushed to the spot. They broke the door and rescued Ruby in an unconscious state. The doctor declared the young woman dead when she was taken to the hospital. According to police sources, Ruby had multiple injury marks on her body. During the investigation, the police came to know about Varun. After that, a search was started for him. Finally, the accused was arrested from Germany. According to a source in the investigators, Varun was planning to flee to India. But before that, he was caught in the police net.
