Delhi: Trent Rockets defeated Southern Brave by 3 wickets in the 29th match of The Hundred Women’s Competition 2026. With this win, Trent Rockets secured a place in the final with 28 points, which will be played on August 16th.

In this match, Southern Brave, batting first, scored 117 runs for 5 wickets in 100 balls. In reply, Trent Rockets won the match by scoring 118 runs for 7 wickets in 98 balls. Nat Sciver-Brunt played a key role in this victory. 

Southern Brave scored 117 runs

Southern Brave, who elected to bat first after the toss, got off to a good start. Lizelle Lee scored 31 runs off 28 balls, while Laura Wolvaardt contributed 24 runs off 21 balls. The two added 49 runs for the opening wicket.

Maia Bussier then played a crucial innings of 38 runs off 33 balls. She hit four fours in her innings. Charlie Knott finally scored an unbeaten 15 runs off 10 balls to take the team’s score to 117. Southern Brave made 117 for 5 off 100 balls. Kim Garth, Samantha Bates, and Georgia Ellis took one wicket each for Trent Rockets.

The Rockets have had a terrible start.

Chasing a target of 118, Trent Rockets had a nightmare start. They lost three wickets in just 10 runs. Sophia Dunkley, Sophie Luff, and Beth Mooney departed early.

Captain Ashley Gardner then took charge. She, along with Bess Heath, steadied the innings and pulled the team out of trouble. Gardner faced just 25 balls and scored 37 runs, including five fours and one six. Bess Heath also provided excellent support, scoring 18 runs off 19 balls.

Sciver-Brunt turned the match around

After Gardner’s dismissal, the pressure on Trent Rockets increased again, but Nat Sciver-Brunt batted brilliantly and changed the course of the match. She scored 32 runs off just 19 balls. Her innings included five fours. Sciver-Brunt scored quickly to keep the required run rate in check. After her dismissal, Georgia Ellis scored an unbeaten 10 off four balls to bring the team closer to the target. Kim Garth also made an unbeaten 1 run.

Trent Rockets got the ticket to the final 

Trent Rockets scored 118 runs in 98 balls to win the match by 7 wickets and secure a place in the final. For Southern Brave, Tilly Courteen-Coleman took 2 wickets, while Izzy Wong and Sarah Glenn each got one wicket.

The innings of Ashleigh Gardner and Nat Sciver-Brunt were crucial for Trent Rockets’ victory. The way they handled the pressure after the initial setbacks completely turned the match around.
