There are thousands of doctors’ prohibitions on eating sugar and jaggery, but can that still curb the desire to eat sweets? This homemade alternative will come in handy at such times. By following the simple recipe, you can make a laddu (Healthy Laddu Recipe), which is both delicious and healthy. It contains protein, fiber and healthy fats. So, these laddus are also perfect for those who are trying to lose weight. The most important thing is that you don’t need a single grain of sugar to make these laddus! You don’t need jaggery either. But it won’t make any difference in its sweetness at all!

Let’s find out what ingredients are needed to make Green Moong Laddu.
• 1 cup Green Moong Dal (soaked for 5–6 hours)
• 3 tablespoons Almonds (crushed)
• 3 tablespoons Cashews (crushed)
• 3 tablespoons Walnuts (crushed)
tablespoons Pistachios (crushed)
• 2 tablespoons Pumpkin Seeds
• 2 tablespoons Sunflower Seeds
• 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
• 1 tablespoon Flaxseed
• 2 tablespoons Raisins (crushed)
• 8–10 Dates (seeds removed and crushed)
• Half a teaspoon Cardamom Powder
• 2 tablespoons Ghee

How to make?

Drain the soaked green mung beans completely. Fry the beans in a dry frying pan on medium heat. Stir frequently until the beans are completely dry and have a light aroma. Then, let them cool down and grind them in a mixer. Do not grind them to a fine powder.

In a frying pan, dry roast the almonds, cashews, walnuts, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and flax seeds on low heat. Add the chia seeds at the very end. Be careful not to burn the nuts and seeds. When cool, grind them into a powder in the same way in a mixer. Be careful not to make it too fine.

Heat ghee in a pan and add chopped dates and raisins. Stir on low flame for about 2-3 minutes. When it becomes soft and starts mixing together, turn off the flame. Add fried moong dal, almonds and seeds to this mixture. Add cardamom powder and mix everything well.

Once the mixture has cooled slightly, take a little bit of the mixture and press it between your palms to make a round laddu shape. Once it cools down completely, it will become sticky and you will not be able to make laddus. Add a little ghee if needed.

Once ready, store the laddus in an airtight container. They can be enjoyed as snacks or as a dessert after meals.
