Mumbai: The trailer for Yash’s much-awaited film “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups” has been released. Fans who have been waiting for the film for a long time got to see Yash in a very violent and stylish avatar in the trailer. The film also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas and is scheduled to hit theaters on August 26th. In the meantime, let’s find out what’s special about the trailer. 

Trailer full of suspense and violence

The trailer begins with a scene of Raya and a child injured in the rain. The child apologizes to Yash’s character, and immediately afterward, the sound of a gunshot is heard. The same child is then seen behind bars, wearing Joker-like makeup. However, the question of who fired the shot and the full story will only be answered after the film’s release. 

Kiara Advani’s entry

Kiara Advani then makes her debut in the trailer. She plays a circus- woman with a child. Her character exudes pain and fear. Furthermore, glimpses of Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Akshay Oberoi are also seen in the trailer. However, no one’s character has been revealed yet, leading to a sense of suspense surrounding the film. 

Yash’s style reminds us of ‘KGF’

Yash’s look, action, and screen presence are particularly striking in the trailer. The weapons, elaborate sets, intense action sequences, and dark visuals give it a feel tailor-made for the big screen. However, seeing Yash once again in a dangerous and stylish role is bound to bring back memories of “KGF.”

Emphasis on visuals over story 

“Toxic” is being described as a period gangster action drama set in the underworld of crime in Goa. However, the trailer emphasizes action, violence, glamour, and visuals more than the story. The film features several prominent female actors, but their roles remain unclear. Audiences are particularly excited about Kiara’s character, Nadia. It remains to be seen whether “Toxic” relies solely on Yash’s stardom and stunning visuals, or whether it can also engage audiences with a strong story.
