Mirzapur.
Mirzapur. There is a lot of anger among the villagers regarding Vipin Hospital located in Drummondganj area. The villagers allege that despite complaining several times, no effective action is being taken by the health department against the alleged quack doctor and hospital operator. Regional people say that due to the good influence and familiarity of the concerned person in the health department, the complaints remain buried in the files, due to which the villagers are losing faith in the department.
The villagers alleged that Vipin Hospital does not meet the prescribed standards, yet the hospital is being given huge publicity. The huge banners and boards put up outside the hospital are attracting people and recruiting patients in the name of treatment. Villagers say that if the hospital does not have the necessary accreditation, resources and qualified doctors then how is such an institution being allowed to operate.
Local people said that they had given written and verbal complaints to the health department officials several times, but till date no concrete investigation or action has been taken. Due to this, various types of discussions have started in the area. The villagers have demanded an impartial investigation into the matter from the district administration and the Chief Medical Officer and an investigation into the validity of the hospital, medical standards and qualifications of the operators.
Villagers say that if action is not taken on such cases in time, the lives of patients may be in danger.
