The arrest reported from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh has revealed the secret of the sensational murder that took place in Silvassa of Dadra and Nagar Haveli about two months ago. Accused Rishabh Kumar Singh, who was absconding after allegedly murdering his girlfriend and hiding her body in a trolley suitcase in the bathroom of a rented room, has been arrested by the STF Varanasi unit and Silvassa police. The accused was working as a laborer in Varanasi by hiding his identity.

According to the police, the accused was arrested on Monday by raiding Subhash Real Tech in Chandpur Industrial Estate located in Manduwadih police station area. After his arrest, he was produced in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, from where Silvassa police got transit remand. After this the police took the accused to Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

The dead body was found in the suitcase after two months.

This sensational case came to light when on August 3, the body of a woman was found inside a trolley suitcase from a house in Tokar Khada area of ​​Silvassa. The body was said to be about two months old. It was covered with plastic. When the landlord opened the lock and entered inside to rent the room to someone else, a strong foul smell was coming from the room. On suspicion, a search was conducted, after which the body was found inside a trolley suitcase kept in the bathroom. The deceased was later identified as Chhoti Upadhyay (20), resident of Nawada, Bihar.

Married to girlfriend, then accused of murder

STF’s interrogation revealed that Rishabh Kumar Singh, a resident of Siur in Roh police station area of ​​Nawada district of Bihar, was in a love affair with Chhoti Upadhyay, a married woman of his village. Despite Chhoti’s marriage, the relationship between the two continued. According to the police, at the behest of Chhoti, Rishabh had eloped with her to Dadra and Nagar Haveli. There both of them got married. Both the families were angry with this relationship and the family members refused to adopt Chhoti. A case of kidnapping was also registered against Rishabh in Roh police station of Bihar for taking Chhoti with him.

There was a dispute regarding returning to the village

According to police interrogation, after marriage, Chhoti was continuously pressurizing Rishabh to return to the village. There was a dispute between the two regarding this matter. It is alleged that there was a dispute between the two on the morning of 9th June and on the same day in the evening, Rishabh strangled Chhoti to death. After this he tied the body with a rope and put it in the trolley suitcase and closed it. After hiding the body in the bathroom of the room, the accused fled from there.

Name changed to Varanasi

After the incident, Rishabh fled from Silvassa and came to Varanasi. To avoid arrest, he hid his identity here and changed his name and started working as a labourer. STF Varanasi unit got intelligence about the accused hiding in Varanasi. After this, a joint team of STF and Silvassa Police raided Shubhash Real Tech located in Chandpur Industrial Estate of Manduwadih area and arrested the accused.

STF team made arrest

Inspector Amit Srivastava of STF Varanasi unit said that the accused has been identified as Rishabh Kumar Singh, a resident of Siur in Roh police station area of Nawada district of Bihar. The team that made the arrest included sub-inspectors of STF Varanasi unit Angad Singh Yadav, Vinay Maurya and Ravi Yadav and other policemen. Now Silvassa police took the accused to Dadra and Nagar Haveli on transit remand. Where he will be interrogated regarding the entire incident to the murder. The police will also investigate the reason for the murder, the evidence to the incident site and the activities of the accused after the incident.
