Will gold reach Rs 1.60 lakh by the end of the year?
According to Commodity expert Ajay Kedia, Gold and Silver are far below their high. In such a situation, investors are showing interest in them again. However, he suggests that lump sum investment in gold and silver should be avoided.
According to his estimate, by the end of the year, Gold can reach Rs 1.60 lakh per 10 grams and Silver can reach Rs 2.80 lakh per kg.
You can also invest in Gold-Silver through ETF
Instead of buying physical gold or silver, investors can invest money in Gold ETF and Silver ETF. Buying and selling of ETFs takes place on BSE and NSE like shares.
In this you do not get physical gold or silver. On selling ETF, you get money according to the market price at that time. Investment can be started with small amount.
Demat account required to buy ETF
Investing in ETF requires Demat and Trading Account. Units of ETFs available on NSE or BSE can be purchased through brokers. The amount is deducted from the linked bank account and the ETF units are deposited in the Demat account. These can be sold later through Trading Account.
Remember 2 things while buying gold from a jeweler
Do see the first BIS Hallmark. Always buy certified and hallmarked gold. Information about the purity of gold is obtained from Hallmark.
Cross-check the second rate. Before purchasing, definitely check the gold rate of that day from a reliable source like IBJA. The prices of 24, 22 and 18 carat gold are different. Making charges and GST also affect the final price when buying jewellery.
Now look at the next move of Gold
The rise of just 10 days in August has again brought Gold and Silver into the spotlight. Gold is close to Rs 1.52 lakh and expert's estimate is to reach Rs 1.60 lakh. In such a situation, the question now is – is this just the rise of August or is Gold once again moving towards its old record high?
