Bihar Police Driver DET Admit Card: The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) has released the admit card for candidates appearing in the Driving Efficiency Test (DET) under the Bihar Police Constable Driver recruitment drive. The facility to download the DET admit card became available on August 10, 2026.

Candidates who successfully cleared the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)—a mandatory stage in the recruitment process—and have now been selected for the Driving Efficiency Test can download their hall tickets.

Where to download the admit card?
Candidates must visit the official Bihar Police Constable recruitment website, csbc.bihar.gov.in, to obtain their admit card.
To download the admit card, candidates need to enter their registration number or mobile number, date of birth, and the security code provided on the website.
11,847 candidates selected for DET
The Bihar Police Constable Driver recruitment involves multiple stages. Based on their performance in the written examination, a total of 15,516 candidates were called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

The Board conducted the PET from March 12 to March 24, 2026. Based on performance in that test, 11,847 candidates have now been deemed eligible for the Driving Efficiency Test (DET).

The DET is a crucial stage in the recruitment process for these candidates. Therefore, candidates are advised to carefully verify all the details mentioned on the admit card after downloading it.

Document verification to take place alongside DET
Preparing solely for the driving test will not be sufficient for candidates. Document verification will also be conducted during the DET itself. Consequently, candidates must carry all the required original documents with them to the examination center.

The Board has specified various documents based on categories and candidate status. These include identity proofs, driving licenses, educational certificates, caste certificates, domicile certificates, and other essential documents. Which documents must be carried for the DET?

1. Valid Photo Identity Proof:
Candidates must carry the original copy of a valid photo identity proof. Acceptable documents include an Aadhaar card, driving license, voter ID card, etc.

2. Valid Driving License:
Candidates must possess a Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) or Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving license issued at least one year before the advertisement date of July 17, 2025—meaning it must have been issued by July 17, 2024. Carrying the original document is mandatory.

3. Proof of Date of Birth:
To verify the date of birth, candidates must carry the original certificate and mark sheet from the matriculation (10th grade) or an equivalent examination.

4. Intermediate Pass Certificate:
Candidates must also present the certificate confirming they have passed the Intermediate (12th grade) or an equivalent examination.

5. Intermediate Mark Sheet:
The mark sheet for the Intermediate or equivalent examination must also be provided at the time of document verification.

Which certificates are required for SC and ST candidates?
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) reservation categories must present a caste certificate issued by a competent authority. Additionally, a permanent residence certificate must be submitted.

Both documents must comply with prescribed regulations to enable the verification of the candidate's claims regarding reservation and residence.

What documents must BC and EBC candidates submit?
The list of documents for candidates in the Backward Class (BC) and Extremely Backward Class (EBC) categories is slightly more extensive. Such candidates must carry the following documents:

Caste certificate issued by a competent authority.
Permanent residence certificate.
Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by a competent authority. If the Non-Creamy Layer certificate was issued more than a year ago, it is mandatory to submit a self-declaration in the prescribed Form XVIII-B, in accordance with Circular No. 15440 dated 05 December 2017 issued by the General Administration Department, Government of Bihar.

Therefore, BC and EBC candidates must verify the validity and prescribed format of all their certificates prior to document verification.

What is required for candidates who are dependents of freedom fighters?
Candidates belonging to the Freedom Fighter Dependent (FFW) category must submit a certificate issued under the signature of the District Magistrate or an authorized official.

This certificate must attest that the candidate is the grandchild (paternal or maternal) of a former freedom fighter. A mere identity card stating that the candidate is a successor of a freedom fighter will not be accepted. Additionally, the candidate must submit a permanent residence certificate.

Which certificate is required for EWS candidates?
Candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category must also submit a certificate in the prescribed format.

A certificate issued by the competent authority for the financial year 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 will be valid for this purpose. This certificate must be issued in the format specified in Schedule-1 (Form-1) attached to the Government of Bihar's Notification No. 2622 dated 26 February 2019. Furthermore, EWS candidates must also carry a permanent residence certificate.

Which certificate must transgender candidates submit?
Candidates belonging to the transgender category are required to submit an identity certificate confirming their transgender status, issued by a competent authority—specifically, the District Magistrate.

For this purpose, an identity certificate issued in Form-3 or Form-4 under the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Rules, 2020, in accordance with Circular No. 9556 dated June 19, 2024, issued by the General Administration Department, Government of Bihar, will be valid. Additionally, the submission of a permanent residence certificate is mandatory.
