Bihar News: A big plan is being prepared to promote sports in Bihar and provide better facilities to the players. A total area of ​​651 acres has been earmarked for the development of modern and world-class sports facilities in Patliputra Greenfield Satellite Township. There are plans to develop it as a big sports center of Bihar in future.

Sports city will be built on 225 acres

In the meeting chaired by Urban Development and Housing Department Minister Nitish Mishra, the development of various sports facilities including Sports City in Patliputra Greenfield Satellite Township was discussed. Sports Department Minister Shreyasi Singh was also present in the meeting.

Minister Nitish Mishra said that in the integrated plan of the township, provision of 651 acres of land has been made for sports activities and sports infrastructure. There is a proposal to develop a sports city in about 225 acres.

Modern facilities for different sports, necessary infrastructure for players' training and competitions and other player-friendly facilities will be developed in the Sports City.

There will also be a golf course and modern sports complex.

Of the proposed sports area of ​​651 acres, a golf course will be developed in about 187 acres. Apart from this, there is a proposal to build a modern sports complex in an area of ​​239 acres.

The sports complex is planned to provide extensive and modern facilities for various sports activities. This will provide a better environment for sports and practice to the people living in the township as well as the players.

Facilities will be as per Olympic standards

Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh said that Patliputra Greenfield Satellite Township will be equipped not only with modern urban facilities but also with world class sports infrastructure. Emphasis will be laid on developing the proposed sports facilities as per Olympic standards.

This will help in creating the necessary infrastructure for organizing national and international level sports competitions in Bihar. Besides, the talented players of the state will get better training and opportunities to compete at the national and international level.

Preparation of sports facilities in all the proposed townships of Bihar

The Sports Minister also said that land required for development of sports facilities will be identified in all the 12 proposed townships in the state. Its objective is to provide better sports infrastructure in every township.

New opportunities for youth and players

Urban Development Minister Nitish Mishra said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, continuous efforts are being made to advance the youth of Bihar in the field of sports and hone their talent. Development of world-class sports facilities will provide better environment to players for training, practice and competitions.

After the completion of this scheme, Patliputra Greenfield Satellite Township can develop as a major center of sports activities in Bihar. The various sports facilities proposed in 651 acres can prove to be an important step towards creating new opportunities for the players and sports lovers of the state.
