Lucknow. Late on Tuesday at Independent Girls Degree College, Sneh Nagar, Alambagh. A grand celebration was organized on the birthday of Pandit Dinesh Tiwari ji as Founder's Day. The program started at 10 am.

The chief guest was Honorable Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. On this occasion, Anil Singh (MLA, Purva Unnao), Avnish Singh (Member of Legislative Council), Anurag Awasthi (District President BJP), Brij Bahadur Pathak (State Vice President BJP), Dayashankar Singh (Cabinet Minister and Transport Minister), Advocate Sunil Shukla, Media Incharge Brajesh Shukla, Jitendra Pratap Singh and Paras Dubey etc. were present as special guests.
The students of all the colleges under the Independent Group of Colleges presented cultural programs with great enthusiasm. The program started with Shri Ganesh Vandana and Saraswati Vandana. The main attractions were the presentations based on 'patriotism, social concern, women empowerment and culture'. The students performed brilliantly in various dances including Krishna Leela dance drama.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak ji awarded the girl students of the Krishna Leela Tableau programme. Besides, the teachers and staff who helped in its preparation were also honoured.

In his address, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak inspired the girl students and said that they should get education like Gargi and Maitri, who defeated her husband Rishi Yagyavalkya in the scriptures. He blessed all the girl students of Ashishwaantra Girls Degree College.
