Keerthy Suresh recently gave fans a glimpse into her relaxed morning. But it was her food diary that caught our attention. After spending some quality time with her dogs, Keerthy treated herself to a wholesome and indulgent breakfast featuring Turkish eggs, sourdough avocado toast and sautéed mushrooms.

Sharing glimpses of her holiday, Keerthy described the breakfast as her “favourite Sunday brekki.” The spread featured creamy Turkish-style poached eggs, crisp sourdough topped with avocado and mushrooms on the side.

How To Make Keerthy's Turkish Poached Eggs

Her recipe features a creamy garlic yoghurt base, perfectly poached eggs, and a warm drizzle of spiced chilli butter.

Step-By-Step Method

Step 1: Mix thick yogurt with minced garlic and a pinch of salt. Let it rest at room temperature so the flavors blend.

Step 2: Heat water in a pan. Crack in an egg and poach it for 2 to 3 minutes until the whites are set and the yolk remains runny.

Step 3: Now to make the chilli butter, heat a pan, add butter, and chilli flakes or paprika into it and stir until fragrant.

Step 4: Once done, spread the garlic yogurt on a plate, place the warm poached eggs on top, and drizzle the spiced hot butter over everything.

How To Make Sourdough Avocado Toast?

To make classic sourdough avocado toast, you need sourdough bread, herb soft cheese, smashed avocado, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, salt and black pepper.

Preparation:

Step 1: Toast a slice of sourdough bread until golden and crisp.

Step 2: Mash half a ripe avocado with a squeeze of lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and black pepper.

Step 3: Then, scoop and spread a generous amount of cheese over the warm toast and add the smashed avocado.

Step 4: Finish with chilli flakes, salt, pepper and a proper squeeze of lemon.

For the perfectly golden, caramelised mushrooms, slice the mushrooms in half and cook them in vinegar and water. Then, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook until they begin to brown. Next, melt the butter, add minced garlic, thyme leaves, salt and black pepper. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

The food-licious Sunday did not end there. Keerthy also shared a glimpse of a delicious-looking custard. While the actor says she is “no sweet tooth,” the dessert proved too tempting to resist.
