Four General Coaches Per Train: In view of the huge crowd and problems of passengers, Railways has decided to increase the number of general and sleeper coaches in thousands of trains of the country. After the new changes of Railways, now 3200 long distance trains will be converted into LHB rakes with 24 coaches.
Four Coaches For General Passengers: Every day thousands and lakhs of people travel by train. Many people travel by general coach and many by sleeper coach. The number of general coaches in Indian trains is very less. Therefore a huge crowd of passengers is seen. There is so much crowd in the general coach that there is no space even to put one’s feet. In view of these problems of passengers, Railways has taken a big decision, due to which this step of Railways can prove beneficial for thousands and lakhs of passengers traveling in general coach.
There will be 4 general and 6 to 8 sleeper coaches.

According to the Railways, for the convenience of the passengers, every train will have at least 4 general and 6 to 8 sleeper coaches. This new initiative of Railways will reduce the crowd of passengers in general and sleeper coaches and will also make the journey convenient.

- According to Railways, first of all general and sleeper coaches will be added on routes connected to big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, Pune and Chennai.
- People from all over the country come to these places for labor and jobs. In such a situation, the travel of these passengers will be easy and convenient.
- There are many festivals this month and in the coming months, due to which people will come to their homes. A huge crowd is seen in trains during festivals. With this step of Railways, there will be reduction in crowding in general and sleeper coaches.
