High alert in Delhi before August 15, mega security campaign continued overnight

New Delhi. The entire Delhi has been put on high alert ahead of Independence Day on August 15. To ensure that there is no lapse in security, Delhi Police launched a mega security operation late night in the capital. Intensive checking along with patrolling was done in all the districts of Delhi from 11 pm to 2 am.

Policemen patrolled Dwarka turn at midnight with full alertness. The officers carried out intensive checking of vehicles and every passing car was thoroughly searched inside and out. Only vehicles passing the security check were allowed to proceed, so that the national festival remains safe and peaceful for every citizen.

Similarly, in Uttam Nagar, police teams conducted an intensive checking campaign at the ground level at midnight. Every vehicle passing through the main roads of the area was stopped and thoroughly examined before being allowed to proceed. The purpose of this surveillance is to maintain complete security and order in the entire city.

Delhi Police also launched a campaign in Seelampur area. During this time, suspicious vehicles and people were kept under surveillance. Policemen were deployed at places as part of the security operation.

At the same time, in Moti Nagar police station area of ​​West Delhi, the police set up pickets and checked the vehicles coming and going. During this period, special attention was kept on suspicious vehicles and people. Senior police officers including DCP West Hareshwar V. Swamy were present at the spot to monitor the operation.

According to police officials, such operations will continue to strengthen the security arrangements in the capital before August 15 and to prevent any suspicious activity.

DCP West Hareshwar V. Swamy said that there are guidelines from the Delhi Police Commissioner that patrolling has to be done in the capital. As per his instructions, policemen have taken to the streets in large numbers in West Delhi. Intensive checking has been done. He said that these steps have been taken in view of security on Independence Day.
