There is good news for young people aspiring to secure a government job. The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced a recruitment drive to fill vacant posts for Livestock Extension Officers. According to the notification, the online application process will begin on September 9 and continue until September 29, 2026. Eligible candidates can fill out the online form during the scheduled dates to participate in the recruitment process.
**Educational Qualification and Age**
To participate in this recruitment, candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination with Biology as a subject. Additionally, candidates must possess a two-year diploma in Livestock Extension.
Candidates must hold a valid UPSSSC PET 2025 scorecard.
As of July 1, 2026, the candidate's minimum age should be 21 years, and the maximum age should not exceed 40 years. Age relaxation for reserved categories is provided in accordance with the rules.
**Application Process and Fee**
Applications for this recruitment can only be submitted online via the official website, upsssc.gov.in; forms submitted through any other mode will not be accepted. Candidates from all categories are required to pay a fee of ₹25 while filling out the form. The fee can be paid online.
**Recruitment Details**
A total of 1,251 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. Of these, 1,248 posts are for Livestock Extension Officers. Category-wise, the reservations are as follows: 500 posts for Unreserved, 124 for EWS, 345 for OBC, 254 for SC, and 25 for ST. Additionally, 3 posts will be filled under the Livestock Extension Officer (Special/Backlog) category.
**Selection Process and Salary**
Candidates will be selected for this recruitment through a written examination. The exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions. Candidates will be allowed 120 minutes to complete the question paper. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer, while 1/4 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹29,200 to ₹92,300, in accordance with Pay Level 5.
