Hyundai expands its Knight lineup with a black-themed version of Exter, available in petrol and CNG options
Hyundai Motor India has launched the new Exter Knight, introducing a black-themed version of its entry-level SUV. Prices start from Rs 8.13 lakh (ex-showroom), with the special edition available across four variants, including petrol manual, petrol AMT and Hy-CNG Duo options.Hyundai Exter Knight – What’s new?
The launch comes as Hyundai celebrates more than 1 lakh cumulative sales of its Knight range, which debuted in 2022 across multiple models. New Exter Knight gets a series of cosmetic upgrades that give it a sportier appearance without making any mechanical changes. Prices start from Rs 8.13 lakh and go till Rs 9.60 lakh, ex-sh.

All-black cabin with brass accents
Inside, Hyundai has introduced a new all-black interior theme complemented by brass-coloured accents across the dashboard and cabin. The Exter Knight also gets exclusive black semi-fabric seat upholstery, amber footwell ambient lighting and a black D-cut steering wheel on select variants. Apart from these cosmetic revisions, the feature list remains similar to the regular Exter. Buyers continue to get the touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, automatic climate control and the comprehensive safety package offered with the standard SUV.Same petrol and CNG powertrains
Mechanically, the Exter Knight continues with Hyundai’s familiar 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual gearbox or Smart Auto AMT. Hyundai is also offering the Knight edition with its 1.2-litre Hy-CNG Duo powertrain paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
