Pakistani spy arrested in Kolkata, hid identity with fake documents

Kolkata. Security agencies in West Bengal have taken major action against the alleged Pakistani intelligence network. Bengal STF has arrested a person from Habra area on suspicion of having links with Pakistani Intelligence Agency (ISI). identification of the accused Rana Rauf (Rana Rauf) and is said to be a resident of Faisalabad, Pakistan. It is alleged in the investigation that Rauf was living in Kolkata for a long time with the help of fake Indian identity and documents. Accused of staying in India by creating fake identity

According to investigating officials, Rauf had entered India through Nepal border. After this, he allegedly got fake documents prepared to stay in India. It is alleged that he got the documents made as an Indian citizen by hiding his real identity. It has come to light in these documents that the address of Tapasiya area of Kolkata is registered. STF has seized the documents during the investigation.

STF engaged in investigation of connection with ISI

Preliminary investigation has revealed that Rauf is allegedly in contact with ISI. The agency suspects that he used to collect sensitive information to Indian security establishments and send it to Pakistan. The investigating agencies are now trying to find out with whom the accused was in contact and how big was his network for allegedly gathering information.

Accused of collecting information to Army, Navy and Railways

According to investigators, Rauf is accused of collecting and passing on sensitive information to the Indian Navy, Army and Railways. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of obtaining information to the military camps present at various places and the activities there. However, these allegations can be confirmed only after detailed investigation and further legal action.

Was the accused planning to flee to Bangladesh?

According to STF sources, Rauf was afraid of arrest. For this reason he had reportedly planned to exit India. The investigating agency is also investigating from this angle that through which route and with the help of which people he was preparing to leave the country. Another person from Tapasiya has also been arrested in the same case. He is accused of allegedly helping in preparing fake documents for Rauf.

Suspected ISI agent arrested earlier also

This is said to be the second such action in West Bengal. Earlier, STF arrested him from a gym in Bardhaman. Hamim The man named was arrested on suspicion of being an alleged ISI agent. His alleged girlfriend and an associate were also arrested during the investigation. Now after the arrest of Rana Rauf, the agencies are also investigating any possible connection between the two cases.
