Ujjain Vidhi Utkarsha Defeated China: Two daughters of the famous city of Madhya Pradesh, Ujjain, have brought glory to the country and the city by performing brilliantly at the international level. Vidhi Sharma and Utkarsha Pal, students of Samrat Vikramaditya University, have won the gold medal by defeating the Chinese pair in the doubles of the Indo-Nepal International Badminton Tournament held in Nepal.

Vidhi-Utkarsha won gold in international badminton doubles

Teams from 25 countries participated in this Indo-Nepal International Badminton Tournament held in Nepal. In such a situation, tough competition was seen between players from different countries. The Indian pair performed brilliantly throughout the tournament and played all the matches with great coordination. In the doubles category, the Indian pair made it to the finals with their consistently better performance. In the title match, the Indian pair defeated China and won the gold medal.

Selection took place under Khelo India

By winning the finals of the Indo-Nepal International Badminton Tournament, the pair of Vidhi and Utkarsha have won the gold medal for the country while representing India. The success of both the players is special because both are students of Samrat Vikramaditya University, Ujjain. According to reports, both these players were selected in this university under Khelo India.

Will reach Ujjain on 15th August

On Vidhi Sharma and Utkarsha Pal winning gold, Vidhi’s father Mukesh Sharma said that it is a happy day for us, because our daughter has brought glory not only to us but to the entire country. Vidhi’s father told that she will come to Ujjain on 15th August, where she and her partner will be given a grand welcome.
