The political turmoil is continuously increasing during the monsoon session of Parliament. Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sudhanshu Trivedi has launched a scathing attack on Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, calling him a 'spoiled prince'. Sudhanshu Trivedi taunted in the Parliament and said that whenever the Prime Minister and the Home Minister stand up to speak in the House, Rahul Gandhi runs away from the House. This statement of the BJP MP comes after Rahul Gandhi's claim in which he had said that the PM and the Home Minister cannot stand in the House in front of his questions.

During a press conference in New Delhi, the BJP MP gave an open challenge to Rahul Gandhi and said that the Home Minister is fully prepared to give point-by-point answers to every question in the House, hence the leader of the opposition should not run away from the House. He said that those who themselves have a long history of leaving the House have no right to point fingers at others.

Referring to the student movement in Ranchi, Sudhanshu Trivedi said that what happened to the disciplined and common students there, who were fighting for their completely non-political and legal demands, is wrong. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi's ears are completely closed and he is not hearing the voices of these students. They run away from the House during the session and flee abroad as soon as the session is over. He taunted that this time also he will run away abroad, but before that he should show some courage and listen to the Home Minister.

Mentioned the dignity of Parliament and old leaders

Referring to the responsibility of the Leader of the Opposition, the BJP MP said that such a situation was never seen when Mallikarjun Kharge or before that Adhir Ranjan Choudhary used to be the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. Recalling the days when Sonia Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh were in the opposition during the Arun Jaitley era and the Atal Bihari government, he asked whether such behavior had ever been seen before?

This monsoon session of Parliament is in its last phase and after this the country will step into the 80th year of its independence. But whatever happened in the House during this session is definitely a big challenge for democracy. He said that the makers of our Constitution would hardly have imagined that a person would behave like a spoiled prince and hold the country's largest House hostage due to his stubborn attitude.

'The opposition does not want discussion of work at all'

Sudhanshu Trivedi said that he was forced to use such strong words because the behavior of the Congress Party and Rahul Gandhi in the last few weeks has made it clear that they do not want any work to be discussed in the House. They have been changing their demands again and again. First he demanded to change the rules of NEET exam, which was accepted by the government. He demanded a strict law, which was approved by the cabinet and the bill was introduced. They demanded the resignation of the Education Minister and withdrawal of the case registered against the students, which the government also accepted.

But when the Home Minister himself offered to come to the House and answer everything, they are again not allowing the House to function. He reminded that Rahul Gandhi had fled the House even without hearing Prime Minister Modi's reply on issues like no-confidence motion and Manipur. The BJP MP once again said that the Home Minister is ready to answer every question, so instead of running away from the House, Rahul Gandhi should stop and face him.
