Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique declined to comment on reports linking winger Bradley Barcola with a move away from the club.

Barcola has been associated with possible transfers to Arsenal and Liverpool this summer, with the 23-year-old believed to be a target for Andoni Iraola’s Reds.

The France international has returned to PSG training after the World Cup, where he scored three goals as Les Bleus finished fourth in the tournament. The Parisians are set to take on Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday.

“I don’t know and I don’t want to speak about any player individually,” Enrique said when he was asked about Barcola.

“Because it’s always dangerous when you are asking something positive or negative about a player. I stay focused on my team.”

Enrique also addressed the delayed availability of several players because of a number of late returns following the World Cup, and said he is unsure about the condition of his squad ahead of their first competitive match of the season.

“In the pre-season matches, we had a lot of absences. It’s hard to predict who will play. For every team, it’s important to win a European trophy, and we’ll see what kind of match both teams can deliver this Wednesday. I don’t have players.

“Some returned this Monday, others came back last week. We are trying to prepare in the best way possible. I don’t know what kind of physical condition my players will be in.”
