Problems like fever, cough and cold become common in children during monsoon. In such a situation, it may be difficult for parents to understand whether it is normal viral or H1N1 flu. Especially in children, it is not considered correct to estimate the severity of the disease just by looking at fever. H1N1 cases are increasing during monsoon in Delhi-NCR and so far 1,349 cases have been reported.
Along with fever, symptoms like cough, sore throat, runny nose, body ache, chills and extreme fatigue may be seen in children. If the child is very lethargic even with low fever, is breathing rapidly or refuses to drink water, then it should not be ignored.
