In the beginning of this year, we saw Skoda launch the updated Kushaq SUV in the market. After the Kushaq, Skoda turned its focus towards the Slavia sedan. We have already seen multiple test mule images and videos of the upcoming Slavia on our roads. As per recent reports that have surfaced online, the Skoda Slavia is now scheduled to be launched on 17 August 2026.
The Skoda Slavia was one of the models that helped revive the brand in the Indian market. It was a made-in-India product and was also priced aggressively. It became one of the most popular sedans in its segment.
The upcoming Slavia has been spotted testing, and it is clear that Skoda will be making changes to the sedan to give it a fresh look amid rising competition. The front end of the Slavia will feature a revised grille. The headlamps will be sleeker, and the internal design of the lights will also be different from the outgoing model.
The sedan will come with LED DRLs and a connected LED light bar, similar to the Kushaq. The bumper will also be revised, and on the sides, we will notice a new set of alloy wheels. The overall design from the side will remain the same, and the dimensions of the sedan are also expected to remain unchanged.

At the rear, we will see more changes. The tail lamps will be redesigned. The sleek, stylish new LED units will be connected by an LED light bar that runs across the width of the vehicle. The tailgate design, along with the rear bumper, will also be revised as part of the update.
Moving inside, Skoda will update the cabin of the sedan as well. The company may revise the interior theme while retaining the overall dashboard design. We expect to see the same-sized touchscreen infotainment system as the outgoing model, but the digital driver display might grow in size.
The sedan will continue to offer features like automatic climate control, a multi-function steering wheel, rear AC vents, an electric sunroof, leatherette upholstery, ventilated seats, and more. Skoda may also introduce the rear-seat massage function from the Kushaq. Just like the SUV, the Slavia sedan is also expected to miss out on Level 2 ADAS features, which are becoming increasingly common in cars in this segment.
The sedan will continue to be offered with the same set of engines as the current version. There will be a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that generates 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. This engine will be offered with a 6-speed manual and a brand-new 8-speed automatic transmission. The next engine option is the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. It generates 150 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine is likely to be offered only with a 7-speed DSG transmission.
With all these changes in place, Skoda will launch the Slavia in August, and just like the Kushaq, we expect it to be offered with a heavily loaded base variant at an attractive price.
