Now in NHAI projects across the country 'NHAI Care System' has been made mandatory. Under this, ambulances, cranes and patrolling vehicles will be monitored through GPS and mobile app.
Under the new system, all on-road vehicles GPS with AIS-140 standard Will be installed. Apart from this, the vehicles will have Android devices with IoT SIM, in which NHAI Care mobile app will already be present. Incident managers will also be given tablets, through which they will be able to monitor the entire rescue operation.
NHAI has also arranged for a 24×7 call center for this. 8 helpline employees and one doctor will be present in every shift. Regional offices and project units will also be given training on the use of NHAI Care Dashboard.
Heavy penalty on ambulance delay
In the new system, many KPIs and SLAs have been fixed for ambulance services. It will be necessary to keep the availability of NHAI Care App and GPS more than 99 percent. when it decreases Rs 2,500 per day A fine of Rs.50,000 may be imposed.
The emergency ticket has to be accepted within one minute. for every additional minute of delay Rs 5,000 There is a provision for penalty of Rs.
At the same time, for distances up to 10 kilometers, an ambulance Must reach the spot within 10 minutes. per delay incident Rs 10,000 A fine of Rs will be imposed.
The target is to transport the patient to the hospital within an hour of ticket acceptance. Even in case of delay or rejection of emergency ticket Rs 10,000 A penalty of Rs.
Ambulance will be sent from the nearest project
If an ambulance is not available in the concerned project area at the time of an accident, an ambulance from the nearest project will have to be sent to the spot immediately. Along with this, it will also be necessary to do a dry run or mock drill of at least 5 kilometers every 24 hours.
Fine up to Rs 2.50 lakh
The NHAI Care system itself will monitor compliance with KPIs and SLAs and the penalty will also be calculated automatically. on a project Maximum Rs 2.50 lakh per month Penalty up to Rs. This amount will be deducted from the monthly or quarterly payment.
