Automobile Desk: Hyundai Motor India has launched the new 'Knight Edition' of its famous micro-SUV Exeter in the Indian market. This new edition has been introduced with a complete all-black theme, which gives the vehicle a more sporty, aggressive and premium appeal on the road. The company has fixed its starting ex-showroom price at Rs 8.13 lakh, while the price of its top-end model goes up to Rs 9.60 lakh.

Hyundai Exeter Night Edition has been introduced in a total of four different variants. Customers get the freedom to choose fuel and transmission options like 5-speed manual, 5-speed smart AMT and eco-friendly Hy-CNG Duo.

Sporty exterior changes

The all-black treatment is clearly visible on the exterior of the vehicle. It has the Hyundai logo and 'Exter' badging on the front and rear in matte-black finish. To further enhance the sporty look, dark gray shade has been used in the bumper and side garnishing. Apart from this, exclusive 'Knight' badging has been given on the side profile of the car. The biggest highlight of this edition is its 15-inch all-black alloy wheels and bright red brake callipers on the front wheels, which create a great contrast with the black theme. However, lower variants get the option of styled steel wheels with dark gray finish. Talking about body colors, apart from Titanium Black, it can be purchased in options like Atlas White, Starry Night, Titan Gray and Gold Bronze.

Premium all-black cabin and cabin features

Like the exterior, the all-black interior layout is also seen in the cabin of the car. To give the cabin a slightly modern look, brass colored accents have been given on the dashboard, AC vents and steering wheel. The cabin has all-black semi-fabric seats, amber colored footwell ambient lighting and a premium dark D-cut steering wheel.

This SUV is very special in terms of features. It has been provided with excellent safety features like touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone connectivity, BlueLink connected car technology, automatic climate control and multiple airbags.

Engine and Performance

Hyundai has not made any changes in the engine or mechanical parts of this new Night Edition. It is powered by the same reliable 1.2-litre four-cylinder Kappa petrol engine, which offers excellent mileage and performance with manual and AMT gearboxes. For customers who want better mileage, there is also a 1.2-litre Hi-CNG Duo (twin cylinder CNG) option, which comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

Since the launch of the Night Edition series in the year 2022, the company has sold more than 1 lakh units till now. Seeing this success, the company has now created a stir in the compact SUV segment by introducing its small SUV in black-out avatar.
