Its first offering, premium Kala namak riceis a GI-registered heritage grain cultivated for over 2,500 years in Uttar Pradesh’s Terai region. Known for its distinctive aroma, soft texture and nutty, earthy flavour, the naturally aged grain highlights one of India’s indigenous rice varieties.

With a low glycemic index of 49–53, Kala Namak rice is positioned as a diabetic-friendly choice. It is rich in iron and zinc, contains antioxidants and dietary fibre, and is naturally gluten-free, non-GMO and vegan. Kkhavo aims to make nutrient-rich heritage foods more accessible while encouraging healthier, informed everyday choices.

Founded by Mudit and Minal Goel, Kkhavo draws upon their ancestral roots in the heartland of Kala Namak cultivation, more than two decades of experience in international markets and third-generation relationships with farming communities.
