Ayodhya: In the ongoing interview for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ram Mandir, the candidates are not being asked questions only about administrative experience and work. Questions to his religious life, faith and lifestyle are also in discussion. On Wednesday, 6 candidates have come for interview. The process, which started at 11:30 am in the green house of the Ram Mandir complex, will continue till 3 pm. Questions and answers are being asked to a candidate for about 40 to 50 minutes.

Questions from Shikha-Janeu to food and drink
In the interview, candidates are being asked whether they keep shikha or not, wear sacred thread or not and are pure vegetarian or non-vegetarian. Questions are also being asked about drinking alcohol. Information is also being taken from the candidates regarding their religious beliefs. It is also being asked whether they would be comfortable dressing as per Hindu religious traditions or not. Along with this, questions are also being raised about his administrative experience, ability to handle a large team, experience of working with religious institutions and his thinking regarding the arrangements of Ram Temple.
More than 5,300 applications, now 18 candidates in the fray
More than 5,300 people had applied for the post of Ram Mandir CEO. Out of these, 18 candidates have been selected for interview. Three names will be shortlisted after the four-day long process. After this, the interview of these three candidates will be conducted by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The final decision will be taken by the Trust. The interview team includes retired Justice Pramod Kohli, former scientist Dr. Suresh Howde and retired Lieutenant General Vishnukant Chaturvedi.

8 former officers gave interviews on the first day
8 candidates appeared on the first day of interview on Tuesday. These included 3 former IAS, one IPS and 4 former military officers. Former IPS Rajesh Pandey and former DM of Jaunpur Dinesh Chandra also came for interview.
18 names were selected after 34 questions
Online applications were invited for the post of CEO from 13 to 18 July. Candidates were asked 34 questions through Google Form. In this, information to his educational qualification, administrative experience, job, retirement and ability to manage the team was taken. Candidates were also asked whether they had previously been associated with any temple, monastery or religious organization. If they were involved then information about how long they worked was also sought. The candidates were also given an opportunity to present their vision and action plan for the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra.
50 to 70 years of age, 20 years of experience is necessary

The age for the post of CEO has been kept between 50 to 70 years. The candidate must have at least 20 years of experience in areas like administration, finance-accounting, human resources, public relations, IT, security or law. The appointment will be for initial 3 years. The tenure can be extended on the basis of performance.
