PSC won with the help of Desiree Doay's goal in the second half.
Salzberg. Desiree Douay scored a second-half goal as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Aston Villa 2-1 to win the UEFA Super Cup for the second consecutive year. In the match between the Champions League and Europa League winners, Doue's goal in the 61st minute from Ousmane Dembele's pass was initially ruled offside, but after a video review the goal was declared valid.
Khvicha Kvaratskheliya scored the first goal for PSG in the 20th minute. Brian Madjo scored the equalizing goal for Villa in the 45th minute. Madjo, 17, was playing his first competitive match for Villa days after being cleared to play following a dispute over his registration with FIFA. PSG has become the first team since Real Madrid (2016 and 2017) to win two consecutive Super Cup titles.
