Technology Desk: Realme has launched its new smartphone realme 16x 5G in India. The company has introduced it with the tagline “Stay Smooth. Stay Unstoppable”. The features of the phone include a large 7000mAh battery, 45W fast charging, a large display with 144Hz refresh rate and MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G processor.

The phone also has a 50MP rear camera, 8MP selfie camera, realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 and many AI features. The company has introduced the phone with IP65 rating and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification.

7000mAh large battery

The biggest feature of realme 16x 5G is its 7000mAh battery. The company says that the phone has been designed to provide long battery life of up to 6 years. Besides, it has also been claimed to maintain system fluency for 60 months. The phone supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. It also has a bypass charging feature, which helps in controlling the temperature of the phone during charging.

Apart from this, the phone supports 6.5W reverse wired charging. With its help, other devices can also be charged from the phone if needed. Despite the big battery, the thickness of the phone is 8.88mm and its weight is 217 grams.

MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G processor

Realme 16x 5G has MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset built on 6nm process. It has two Cortex-A76 Performance Cores working at speeds up to 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 Efficiency Cores working at speeds up to 2GHz.

For graphics, it has Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. To keep the temperature of the phone under control during long hours of gaming and other heavy tasks, it has a 5,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system.

4GB and 6GB RAM options

The phone has been launched with 4GB and 6GB LPDDR4X RAM. It also has the option of Dynamic RAM Expansion, through which additional RAM can be used with the help of internal storage.

Talking about storage, the phone has 128GB and 256GB internal storage options. Storage can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

6.8 inch 144Hz display

Realme 16x 5G has a 6.8 inch IPS LCD display. The resolution of the screen is 1570×720 pixels i.e. HD+. The display has a 144Hz refresh rate, while the touch sampling rate is up to 180Hz. The peak HBM brightness of the screen is up to 1,200 nits. Panda Glass has been provided to protect the display.

50MP rear and 8MP selfie camera

For photography, a 50MP primary camera is provided at the back of the phone. The rear camera can record video in 1080p resolution at up to 30fps. The phone has an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calling. This camera also supports video recording in 1080p up to 30fps.

Android 16 and AI features

Realme 16x 5G runs on realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. The company has also given many AI features in it. Features like Gemini Live, AI Assistant for Notes and AI Eraser are available in the phone. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Apart from this, the phone also has AI Pulse Light, which can be used for different types of notifications.

IP65 rating and military-grade durability

Realme 16x 5G has received IP65 rating. This protects the phone from dust and water. The company has used ArmorShell Structural Chassis in the phone. It has also received MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification. According to the company, this design has been prepared to give better strength to the phone in situations like shocks and falls.

Connectivity and audio features

For connectivity, the phone supports 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3. GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS are provided for location and navigation. The phone also has USB Type-C port, 1115 Ultra-Linear Speaker and 400% Ultra Volume Audio.

Realme 16x 5G price in India

Realme has launched the 16x 5G in three variants in India:

4GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹25,999
6GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹27,999
6GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹30,999

The company is also giving a discount of up to ₹ 1,000 or additional exchange discount of up to ₹ 2,000 under the bank offer.

When will Realme 16x 5G go on sale?

Realme 16x 5G sale will start in India from August 13. Customers will be able to buy it from Flipkart, realme.com and major offline stores.
