These days Vaibhav Suryavanshi is busy preparing for Duleep Trophy. This 15 year old young batsman will be seen playing for East Zone in this prestigious tournament. Vaibhav has been given the vice-captaincy of the East Zone team. He is currently training at the performance center of his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals. In a video, Vaibhav is seen releasing the ball and defending. He will take the field on 23rd August.
The stormy style with which this destructive left-handed batsman has batted in IPL 2026 has now created fear in the minds of the bowlers regarding him. Whatever be the format, bowlers seem to be trying to avoid them. Meanwhile, Team India's former veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has told how 'Baby Boss' can be controlled. In an interview given to news agency PTI, Harbhajan said that the only solution is to attack Vaibhav.
Can't bowl to survive – Harbhajan
When Harbhajan was asked that if he had been young, would he have bowled to Vaibhav with a slipper? In response to this, Harbhajan said, 'I will not set the field according to what he is doing. I will set the field accordingly as to where I will get him out. If I bowl to escape, I will not be able to escape.
Harjabhan further said, 'The only way to survive is to attack and get him out. It may be possible that success will be achieved, it may be that success will not be achieved, time will tell but it is not necessary that success will be achieved every time. It is possible that at times Prasad may have been given, he may have hit sixes but this is a part of the game. You have to accept that he is good but still the next ball should be about how to get him out.
Vaibhav became a role model for children
Harbhajan said, 'Vaibhav Suryavanshi is a wonderful thing. There is a different player. I have never seen such a player before who can dominate the world at the age of 14-15. When the world's top bowlers bowl to him, they actually think about where to bowl. This is a big thing in itself. What he has done is a guiding light, because now every child is looking towards Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
He further said, 'Many parents, who thought what a 15 year old child could do. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has proved that a 15 year old child can do this. Don't consider him a child. This child can do what adults cannot do.
