The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the registration dates for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (Bihar STET 2026) via a notification on X (formerly Twitter). According to the notice, the application process for the STET exam will commence on August 17, 2026.

**Eligibility and Criteria**
To apply for the Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test, candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks. Additionally, they must have completed a B.Ed., M.Ed., B.A.-B.Ed., or B.Sc.-B.Ed. (or equivalent) program from an NCTE-recognized institution.
Furthermore, the candidate's maximum age must not exceed 37 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted upper age limit relaxation as per existing rules.

**Online Application Process**
Applications for the Bihar STET 2026 exam can only be submitted online; applications submitted via any other mode will not be accepted. Application forms will be available on the official BSEB website.

**Application Fee**
Along with submitting the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed fee based on their category. Forms submitted without the fee will not be accepted. Based on the previous year's structure, candidates from the General, BC, and EWS categories applying for a single paper must pay ₹960, while those applying for both papers must pay ₹1,440. Candidates from the SC, ST, and PH categories must pay ₹760 for a single paper and ₹1,140 for both papers. The application fee can be paid online.
