New Delhi. Tension seems to be increasing once again in the Red Sea. Houthis have announced an attack on a ship and military bases of Saudi Arabia. The Houthis say they will continue their campaign against Saudi-linked military bases and maritime assets.

It has been claimed that the organization has targeted a military transport vessel in the Red Sea and Saudi-backed targets inside Yemen. According to the Houthis, military concentrations, weapons depots and command centers in Mocha area and Tadawin camp in Marib Province were attacked with missiles and drones. The strikes were accurate and resulted in dozens of casualties, including Saudi civilians. The Houthi organization has further warned that Saudi Arabia's military troops will remain its target.
This threat has come at a time when there is already tension regarding maritime security in the Red Sea and Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. Recently, there was news of death of about 6 people in an attack on a commercial vessel. The Yemeni government had blamed Iran-backed Houthi rebels for this attack. According to the report, missiles were fired at a cargo ship named Tihamah carrying food items. Now the new threat of Houthis against Saudi Arabia has further increased the regional tension. At the same time, the internationally recognized government of Yemen has also made it clear that no action of the Houthis will be ignored.
Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, has said that the government will respond to the actions of the Houthi rebels and appealed to them to lay down their arms and join the political process. In fact, there is a conflict going on in Yemen between Houthi rebels and the government for a long time. The impact of this conflict is now visible on sea routes as well. The Red Sea is one of the world's most important trade routes, and attacks on ships there have raised concerns about international shipping and supply chains. Let us tell you that Houthis are fighting with Saudi because of supporting America in Iran war. At present, the eyes of the whole world are on the developments in the Red Sea and Yemen.
