Tezzbuzz Desk- The anger of students and parents regarding the poor system of schools in different parts of the country has now started coming out openly. In Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand, students demonstrated over the problems in schools. At some places schools were locked due to shortage of teachers, at other places students sat on strike over bad food, contaminated water and dirty toilets.

In Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, about 1800 students demonstrated regarding the basic facilities of the school. In Hamirpur, children marched about five kilometers with the tricolor in their hands against the bad condition of the road. The students' agitation that started in Jharkhand's Garhwa regarding the transfer of a teacher later turned violent and even led to stone pelting at the police.

School lockdown in Jalore due to shortage of teachers

Students, parents and villagers took to the streets over the shortage of teachers at PM Shri School in Mengalwa in Jalore district of Rajasthan. The protesters locked the main gate of the school and sat on strike. After the protest that lasted for about four hours, Education Department officials reached the spot. After talking to the villagers, the officials immediately decided to make temporary arrangements for five teachers. Also, written assurance was given to appoint three more teachers within 10 days. After this the performance ended.

A total of 25 posts are sanctioned in the school, but only seven employees were said to be working. That means 18 posts are vacant. These also include important posts like Principal and Vice-Principal. In the school with about 340 students, studies were being affected due to shortage of teachers for subjects like Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science and Sanskrit.

Students angry over bad food and water in Khatima

Students also opened a front against the arrangements in Eklavya Modern Residential School located in Khatima of Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. Students from classes 6th to 12th staged a protest in the school premises.

The students alleged that they were being given poor quality food for a long time. Apart from this, there were also complaints regarding the quality of drinking water and cleanliness of toilets. The students raised slogans in the school premises and demanded improvement in the arrangements.

The administration took action after the matter reached Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, school principal Bharti Yadav was removed from the post.

1800 students demonstrated in Fatehpur

About 1800 students of Sarvodaya Inter College, located in Kishanpur in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, demonstrated regarding the basic facilities of the school. The students complained that there was not enough electricity and fans in the school. The wiring is bad at many places and there is also a problem of clean drinking water.

The students also raised the issue of poor condition of toilets, mid-day meals and not enough benches. The students said that they complained to the school administration several times, but the problems were not resolved.

On receiving information about the matter, District School Inspector Rakesh Kumar reached the spot. He inspected the school and heard the problems of the students. The authorities issued necessary instructions to resolve the problems.

March for the road with tricolor in Hamirpur

In Hamirpur, school children and villagers raised their voice against the poor condition of Chandupur road in a unique way. The children marched about five kilometers with the tricolor in their hands and after reaching the collectorate, presented their demands to the administration.

Villagers say that since independence, no concrete road has been built till now till the village. During the rainy season, transportation becomes difficult due to the unpaved roads being filled with water and mud. This has a direct impact on school children. Many times children are unable to reach school due to bad roads. Villagers also said that in case of emergency, ambulances face difficulty in reaching the village.

Students angry over transfer of teacher in Garhwa

The students' agitation regarding the transfer of a teacher took a serious form in the Kandi police station area of ​​Garhwa district of Jharkhand. Students were protesting for three consecutive days against the transfer of popular teacher Malay Singh posted in Plus Two High School.

Initially the movement was peaceful, but the situation worsened on Thursday. Students were protesting by blocking the road. Meanwhile, Kandi block chief Pinku Pandey arrived to explain to the students. It is alleged that during the conversation the dispute escalated and the block head slapped a student.

After this, the protesting students became angry and vandalized the car of the block chief. As the situation worsened, the police had to intervene and a situation of stone pelting by the protesters also came to light.

Incidents in four states raised big questions

The issues of these incidents that occurred in Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand are different, but a similar picture is visible behind them. Students are no longer shying away from raising their voice regarding the problems of schools.

At some places there are no teachers, at some places there are no basic facilities like electricity, fans and water, at some places bad roads are hindering children's education. At the same time, students were also forced to take to the streets regarding the transfer of teachers.

These incidents have raised serious questions regarding the availability of teachers, cleanliness, drinking water, food, basic facilities and safe educational environment in schools. The administration has taken immediate action in some cases, but these incidents definitely send a message that if the problems to schools are not resolved on time, the dissatisfaction of the students and villagers can take the form of a big movement.
