Tecno has announced the launch date of its new smartphone Pova 8 Pro 5G in India. According to the company, this phone will be launched in India on August 18. Before the launch, the company has also teased the design of the phone. A secondary display, called Alive Matrix Display, will be provided near the camera module on the rear panel of the smartphone.
A metal frame and a new button in orange color will also be seen on the right side of the phone. The company has not yet revealed all the specifications of the Indian variant, but the phone is already listed on the global website.
Alive Matrix Display will be available in Pova 8 Pro 5G
The most special thing about Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G will be its rear secondary display. Alive Matrix Display is given right next to the camera module. The company is preparing to provide additional information and visual elements to the users on the rear panel of the phone through this display. A flat metal frame has been given in the design of the phone. A new button with an orange finish is also visible on the right side.
MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate Chipset
In the global model, the phone has been introduced with MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor. It is an octa-core chipset based on 4nm process, with a peak clock speed of up to 2.6GHz. Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU has been provided for graphics. The phone is available in three configurations in the global market:
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage
- 12GB RAM + 512GB storage
The smartphone runs on HiOS 16 based on Android 16.
144Hz AMOLED display
Pova 8 Pro 5G has a 6.78 inch HyperLux AMOLED display as a global model. Its resolution is 1,208 x 2,644 pixels and it supports 144Hz refresh rate. The peak brightness of the display is up to 4,500 nits. It has 429ppi pixel density, 1.07 billion colors and 93.18 percent screen-to-body ratio.
For photography, dual rear camera setup has been provided in the global model. It includes a 50MP main camera with OIS support and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The phone has a 13MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone has a 6,500mAh battery, which supports 45W wired fast charging. For security, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Color and Design
In the global market, Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G has been introduced in Arc White, Graphite Black and Tundra Green color options. The weight of the phone is about 189 grams and dimension is 162.48 x 77.27 x 7.39mm. Information to the price and availability of the phone in India is expected to be revealed at the launch event on August 18.
