On the occasion of completion of 150th year of Vande Mataram, G.D. District level Hindi and English elocution competition was organized under the aegis of National Service Scheme of College, Begusarai. Students from various colleges of the district participated enthusiastically in the competition and presented their views on the historical, national and cultural importance of Vande Mataram. The stage of the program was conducted by volunteer Sumit Kumar, while the vote of thanks was given by Professor Dinesh Kumar.

Dr. Sahar Afroz, Program Officer, National Service Scheme Unit One, said that Vande Mataram is not just a song, but a symbol of patriotism, national consciousness and the feeling of dedication towards the motherland. There is an important need of the hour to acquaint the youth with its history and importance.

Unit 2 Program Officer Dinesh Kumar said that the objective of the National Service Scheme is to develop a sense of social responsibility and dedication towards the nation among the youth. Such events give students an opportunity to showcase their talent as well as understand their responsibility towards the country. Dr. Supriya Kumari, Assistant Professor of Political Science, said that such competitions have an important role in strengthening democratic values, national unity and constitutional consciousness among the students.

Dr. Anupriya Roy Srivastava, Assistant Professor, Department of English, said that the effective manner in which the students presented the idea and national spirit of Vande Mataram in English medium reflects their expression ability and self-confidence.

Dr. Arman Anand, Assistant Professor, Hindi Department, said that through the Hindi speech competition, the students effectively presented the ideas to patriotism and Indian culture. Such programs develop the linguistic and intellectual abilities of students.

Dr. Krishna Paswan, Program Officer of National Service Scheme of RCS College, said that such events among the colleges promote healthy competition and national spirit among the students. Volunteer Sumit Kumar said that Vande Mataram has been an important song in the Indian independence movement to awaken the feeling of patriotism among the people. On the occasion of its 150th year, it is a matter of pride to establish dialogue among the youth about its history and importance. He said that such events provide students an opportunity to understand their talents as well as their responsibilities towards the nation.

GD in Hindi speech competition. College Mo. Mizan Rizwan first, M.R.J.D. Karishma Kumari of the college has done II and R.C.S. Nishu Kumari of the college got third position. Whereas in the English speech competition, G.D. Suraj Kumar Pratham of the college, M.R.J.D. Priyanshu Raj II of the college and R.C.S. Sonu Kumar of the college stood third. At the end of the program, collective singing of the national anthem and Vande Mataram was done. All the people present concluded the program with a feeling of respect and dedication towards the nation and motherland.
