MG is preparing to launch a new version of its popular Hector SUV. The upcoming model, expected to be called the Hector Hawk, will feature a completely new powertrain. The upcoming SUV is anticipated to launch with a PHEV powertrain based on the Wuling Starlight 560 which is currently available in some Asian markets. This makes the one of the first to launch with such technology in India. Here are five features that are expected in the upcoming MG Hector Hawk.

Panoramic Sunroof

The panoramic sunroof will be one of the most impressive features of the Hector Hawk as per the appeal it holds for Indian  customers. In addition to allowing in more sunlight into the vehicle, it increases the brightness and spaciousness of the interior, particularly for the second-row passengers.

12.8-Inch Infotainment Display

The dashboard is predicted to be filled with a large 12.8-inch infotainment screen that will control the vehicle’s features like navigation and connectivity to the mobile device. It is also possible that some vehicle settings will be integrated into it, making the cabin look more modern.

Fully Digital Instrument Cluster (8.8 Inches)

The next model in the pipeline of Hyundai, that is, the Hector Hawk is also speculated to have an 8.8-inch fully digital instrument cluster for drivers instead of the conventional analogue ones. It is said to show all the driving-related data like speedometer, route details, ADAS warnings, and hybrid powertrain data on the dashboard.

Powered and Ventilated Front Seats

The Hector Hawk to be launched will have electrically powered front seats with ventilation, something that is not common with most entry-level SUVs. It is believed that this will make the driving experience even more comfortable. Power-adjustable seats allow drivers to easily find their ideal seating position with minimal effort, while the ventilation function helps keep occupants cool during hot weather. Together, these features are expected to make the Hector Hawk's cabin more comfortable for both everyday commuting and long-distance journeys.

Level 2 ADAS

The Hector Hawk is also likely to have Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, which will include many driver assistance features. The set of features offered may vary according to the specific model. They can include such systems as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), High Beam Assist (HBA) and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR).
