Assam Dhemaji. On last 10th, miscreants from Arunachal shot many Assamese people over the border issue in Mingmang Badati of Gogamukh in Dhemaji district on the Assam-Arunachal border, in which 11 people were seriously injured. Against this incident, Team PK along with Dhemaji District Ekya Manch of Assam had imposed an economic blockade against Arunachal Pradesh for 12 hours from 6 am to 6 pm on August 12, demanding a 12-hour Dhemaji district bandh and arrest of Arunachal miscreants.
In view of the incidents, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma had directed Dhemaji district MLA and Minister Ranuj Pegu and District Guardian Minister Atul Bora to hold a meeting with TMPK in Dhemaji to bring the situation under control to take stock of the situation and calm the situation. Today, a meeting was held in the District Commissioner's office in the afternoon. In the meeting, many demands were put forward by TMPK, mainly the four miscreants on the charges against whom the case has been registered were demanded to be arrested within 48 hours. In the meeting, TMPK made it clear that TMPK has no enmity or violence against the people of Arunachal and protested against those who attacked the people of Assam. On the other hand, Minister Atul Bora, in his statement given to the media after the meeting, said that the meeting was successful. Discussions are going on at the secretary level of both the states. We will try to bring the situation under control as soon as possible.

The meeting was attended by CCBargaon MLA Jeevan Gogoi, Dhemaji District Commissioner Javir Rahul Suresh, Deputy Inspector General of Police Sudhakar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Shaprakash Sonwal along with officials of the district administration.
