Toxic Music Launch: Yash Says Every Song Is Made ‘From The Heart’; Praises Vishal Mishra For His Hardwork

Toxic music album launch took place in Mumbai on August 13. At the event, Yash, Kiara Advani, Tara, Huma Qureshi and the cast of the film were present. During the launch, Yash highlighted the immense effort that went into creating its songs. The actor praised composer Vishal Mishra for going beyond expectations and giving every track his all. Yash revealed that the songs were designed not merely as standalone numbers, but to express the distinct energy of the characters and take the narrative forward. He also lauded Vishal for creating multiple versions, personally working through the verses and overseeing the mastering process. Calling himself lucky to have such dedicated technicians, Yash thanked the entire music team for their passion, commitment and honest effort behind Toxic.

Speaking at the Toxic music album launch, Yash explained that the songs were created with the characters and narrative in mind. He said, “The songs had to be something which expresses the energy of the characters.” He added that every character has a distinct way of expressing themselves, making music an important part of the storytelling.
Yash further explained that the songs were never intended to feel like conventional tracks that simply begin and end. “Songs had to sound like, not like a song which is starting and ending. It’s something which is taking the story forward,” he said. The actor then praised Vishal Mishra for the tremendous effort he put into ’s music. Yash joked about the extent of the team’s dedication, saying, “I think Vishal also has broken his arms. That’s how much really... Whoever has come into this, technicians especially, come into this project, they are not leaving in one piece.”

Expressing his gratitude towards the composer, Yash said, “Thank you, Vishal. You’ve given each and every song from your heart, and never ever he has asked us anything.” He revealed that Vishal personally worked on multiple versions and remained deeply involved in the creative process. Yash added, “He himself looked into it. He has created so many versions. I think more than me, he has owned this film.” He also praised the work that went into the final sound, saying Vishal had gone through the verses and ensured the mastering was done.
Calling the music team an integral part of the film, Yash said, “I’m lucky to have these set of wonderful technicians.” He also thanked Zee and the wider team for supporting the project and recognising the creative intent behind Toxic. Meanwhile, the song Tabaahi from Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups starring Yash and , was sung and composed by Vishal Mishra and it gained a lot of attention on social media.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is a period action thriller set against the backdrop of Goa between the 1940s and 1970s. Yash plays Raya, a formidable mobster who rises through the ranks of the coastal underworld amid smuggling, violence and power struggles. The film delves into Raya’s turbulent bond with his son, Ticket, while exploring themes of revenge, ambition, paranoia and human darkness. Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth also feature in pivotal roles. Toxic is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 26, 2026.
