Chamari Athapaththu will lead a 15-member Sri Lanka women's cricket team to defend the T20 Asia Cup in the UAE from 28 August to 13 September.
Harshitha Samarawickrama will be Athapaththu's deputy. In the last edition of the Asia Cup held in Dambulla in 2024, Sri Lanka beat India in the final by eight wickets. Sri Lanka are drawn in Group B with Bangladesh, host UAE and Indonesia who will be making their tournament debut. Group A comprises India, Pakistan, Thailand and Hong Kong. All matches will be played in Dubai in T20I format.
