Technology Desk: Bharti Airtel has made changes in its prepaid recharge portfolio. The company has removed many old plans providing daily data from its list. These include several recharges with 1GB and 1.5GB daily data.
After this change in the portfolio, the initial unlimited plan with daily data of Airtel has become Rs 349. In this recharge, users get 2GB high-speed data every day. Along with this, the benefit of unlimited calling, 100 SMS daily and unlimited 5G data is also given.
However, before doing any recharge, you must check its availability and all the benefits on your number, because the availability of the plan may vary according to the circle and number.
Airtel removed many plans with daily data
Earlier, Airtel's prepaid portfolio had several options with 1GB and 1.5GB daily data. Many recharges were available with different validity. These included a plan of Rs 299 with 28 days validity and 1.5GB data per day. Apart from this, one month validity plan of Rs 319 and 56 days validity plan of Rs 579 were also available.
The company also had a 60-day plan of Rs 619 in its portfolio, in which 1.5GB data was available every day. There was an option of 2GB daily data for 56 days for Rs 649 and 1.5GB daily data for 77 days for Rs 799. The Rs 929 plan offered 1.5GB data per day with a validity of 90 days.
Now many of these plans are not visible in the current list of Airtel. The company had earlier removed some unlimited plans of Rs 799 and Rs 859 around April 2026.
Rs 349 Airtel plan now available as initial option
The Rs 349 plan in Airtel's new portfolio is the starting price for unlimited recharge with daily data. The validity of this plan is 28 days. In this, 2GB high-speed data is provided every day. Accordingly, during the entire validity, the user gets a total of 56GB high-speed data.
After the daily data is exhausted, the internet speed reduces to a maximum of 64 Kbps. Apart from data, unlimited local and STD calling is also available in this plan. Users are also given 100 SMS every day.
Unlimited 5G data in Rs 349 plan
A major feature of the Rs 349 plan is the unlimited 5G data available in it. Its benefit can be availed by those users who have a smartphone with 5G support and are present in Airtel's 5G network area.
It is important to understand here that just by recharging Rs 349, 5G network does not become available everywhere. To use Unlimited 5G, conditions like 5G device, availability of Airtel 5G network and plan eligibility are applicable.
So before recharging it is better to check the availability of 5G benefits for your area and number.
Express Premium also benefits
Many additional benefits are being given under Airtel Rewards with the Rs 349 plan. Users get a subscription to Adobe Express Premium for 12 months. Its stated price is around Rs 4,000. Adobe Express can be used to create social media posts, graphics, videos, and other digital content.
Apart from this, Apple Music subscription is also being given in the plan for 6 months. Users also get the facility of Hellotunes. Safe Network feature is also included with this.
What does Safe Network do?
Airtel's Safe Network feature has been provided to warn users about some potential threats to online and mobile networks. It helps in blocking fraud links. Apart from this, alerts to spam calls and SMS can also be received. The facility of real time alerts to suspicious banking OTP is also included in it. The purpose of such features is to help protect users from suspicious links and potential cyber fraud.
84 days validity for Rs 899
A prepaid plan of Rs 899 is also available in Airtel's portfolio. This is an option for those users who want longer validity. This plan has a validity of 84 days. Users are given 1.5GB high-speed data every day. During the entire validity, the user gets a total of 126GB high-speed data. With this, unlimited local, STD and national roaming calling facility is provided.
Users also get 100 SMS daily. After the daily data is exhausted, the internet speed remains at maximum 64 Kbps. The benefit of Hellotunes is also available with this plan. Under this, Hellotune can be set once every 30 days.
Difference between Rs 349 and Rs 899 plans
If the user's priority is more daily data and 5G, then the Rs 349 plan offers a different option. In this, you get the benefit of 2GB data and unlimited 5G daily for 28 days.
Whereas the Rs 899 plan gives a longer validity of 84 days, but it provides 1.5GB data daily.
That means the validity, daily data and additional benefits of both the plans are different. While choosing recharge, the user will have to look at the plan according to his data requirement and validity.
Airtel plans are not the same in all circles
Airtel has made these changes in its prepaid portfolio on its website and digital platforms like Airtel Thanks App. However, it is not necessary that all plans appear the same in every telecom circle or every mobile number.
Pricing, availability, and benefits of a plan may vary by number or region. Therefore, before recharging, it is important to check the plan available on your mobile number on Airtel website or Airtel Thanks App.
