Home remedies for face have been used for centuries. Home remedies are widely used to remove spots and get natural glow. But it is not necessary that every home remedy is beneficial for the skin. Dermatologist Aanchal Panth By sharing a video on her YouTube, she is telling that some things can harm your skin. And these prescriptions can cause irritation, allergies or pimples. Let us know which home remedies can be beneficial to try on the face and which things to stay away from?

What to apply on face and what to avoid?

    • Potato Juice: To reduce the swelling of the eyes, you can use potato pieces, which improves dark circles for some time. That is, potato juice is not harmful to the skin, but it does not mean that the blemishes will reduce as soon as it is applied. Yes, applying potato juice can make the skin look a little brighter, but the results are not always the same.
    • orange peels: Doctor Aanchal says that orange peel scrub is a famous method to remove tanning, but do not use it. Its particles are not uniform and can cause minor cuts or scratches on the skin, which can cause irritation and leave dark marks when healed.
    • Watermelon and Rose Water Mixture: Watermelon and rose water are good for the skin. You can apply this mixture on your face by dipping a cotton ball in it. It helps reduce irritation and makes the face look fresh. Blend chilled watermelon for better results.
    • Coconut Oil on Body: If you have dry skin, coconut oil is a good moisturizer. Applying coconut oil on the face can clog the pores, so if your skin is oily then do not use it. However, you can use virgin cold-pressed coconut instead.
    • Use of baking soda on face: Many remedies recommend applying baking soda to reduce acne or make the skin glow. This should not be done at all because it can cause irritation or wounds on the face.
    • Curd and turmeric:This is an old recipe to make the skin glow. Curd contains lactic acid which causes mild exfoliation of the skin and turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties. Use organic turmeric instead of artificially colored turmeric.

Doctor Aanchal says that home remedies do not cure internal skin problems. They only gently exfoliate or moisturize the skin. Please consult a doctor or dermatologist for any medical or health- tests or treatment options.
