CSL Vacancy 2026: Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has issued a notification to recruit for 139 positions for Graduate and Technician (Diploma) Apprentices. The online application process for this recruitment will commence on August 12, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply until September 1, 2026.

Only candidates who are residents of Kerala are eligible to apply for the CSL Apprentice Recruitment 2026. Additionally, candidates must have acquired their required educational qualifications in the years 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026. Candidates who passed before or after this period will not be eligible for this recruitment.

Who can apply?
Graduate Apprentice: Candidates must possess a BE/B. TechTech degree in the relevant engineering or technology discipline. The degree must be obtained from a recognized university or institute. If marks are awarded in CGPA/OGPA/CPI, they will be converted into a percentage in accordance with university regulations.

Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: For engineering-related posts, candidates must hold a diploma in the relevant branch. For the Commercial Practice post, a diploma in Commercial Practice is mandatory. The diploma must be from a recognized board, university, or institute. If a candidate possesses an equivalent qualification, they must submit an equivalence certificate issued by the relevant authority; applications will not be accepted without it.

Age and other essential conditions
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age as of September 1, 2026. Furthermore, candidates who have previously undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any government, public sector, or private institution are ineligible to apply.

Selection Process
Selection based on merit: Only candidates who are residents of Kerala will be considered for this recruitment. Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying educational examination. In the event of a tie in marks between two candidates, preference will be given to the candidate who passed earlier. In the event of a tie even after this, the older candidate will be selected.

Document Verification: Candidates called for selection must present original documents—and self-attested copies thereof—regarding age, educational qualifications, mark sheets, caste certificates, and disability certificates (if applicable). Failure to produce original documents may result in the cancellation of the application.

Final Selection: Candidates who complete document verification will be selected based on merit and reservation rules. Selected candidates must also meet medical fitness requirements before commencing training.
