Shribhoomi: In every district of Assam as well as in Patharkandi of Shribhoomi district: A grand bike rally was organized by the Border Security Force BSF in Patharkandi with the aim of making the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign successful and encouraging the spirit of patriotism among the common people. More than 50 BSF soldiers participated in this rally organized under the joint aegis of Lakshmipur BSF Camp located on India-Bangladesh border and Dohalia 15th Battalion BSF.

The rally started from Dohalia BSF Camp with bikes decorated with tricolor flag. The soldiers covered a distance of about 10 kilometers in an atmosphere resonating with patriotic songs. The rally left Dohalia Camp and passed through various areas of Patharkandi city and reached the BSF BOP camp on the India-Bangladesh border at Lakshmipur. In view of the rally, extensive security arrangements were made by the Patharkandi administration. To maintain smooth traffic system, special arrangements for traffic control were made at major places. With the cooperation of the administration and police, the rally was conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner.

According to BSF sources, various programs are being organized under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign from August 8 to 16. This bike rally was organized in this context. After the conclusion of the rally, senior BSF officers distributed national flags among the local students. Besides, a special selfie point was also made to promote the feeling of respect and patriotism towards the national flag among the common people.

During the programme, BSF jawans interacted with the local people on various topics. On this occasion, a message was given to further strengthen the friendly relations of BSF with the people of the border area. Finally the program formally ended with the national anthem. On this occasion, a call was made to the common people to celebrate Independence Day on 15th August with full enthusiasm, dignity and spirit of patriotism.
