Lucknow. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the partition of the country in 1947 is a proof of the cowardice of Congress. He said that at that time, if Sardar Patel had been the Prime Minister of the country or if the country had a leadership like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, then no one would have been able to spoil our country, but due to the cowardice of the Congress, the country got divided. During this period, lakhs of Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Sikhs were massacred. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing the program on the occasion of Partition Horrors Memorial Day organized at Lok Bhavan, Lucknow on Friday.

Chief Minister Yogi said that India was enslaved due to two reasons, one of which was mutual contradiction. The country became weak due to conflicts and conspiracies regarding caste, region and language. This resulted in slavery. Due to contradictions we could not fight collectively. Its consequences were bound to emerge. The country became enslaved. India, which was one India since ancient times, got divided into pieces.

Enemy properties were distributed after independence

Chief Minister Yogi said that after partition, enemy properties were distributed badly during Congress rule. Private properties were created. What should have happened was that the Hindus, Jains, Buddhists and Sikhs who came from Pakistan should have been helped to settle down but they were not helped. The lands were distributed equally. He said that like before, even today the mentality of SP and Congress is divisive. These people do politics of dividing the country and society.
