Lucknow: In the program of Partition Horrors Memorial Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a scathing attack on Congress regarding the partition of the country in 1947. He said that the country was divided in a hurry to gain power. Citing mutual differences and conspiracies as the main reasons behind India's slavery, Yogi appealed to the society to learn from the mistakes of the past and strengthen national unity.

Congress targeted over 1947 partition

On the occasion of Partition Horrors Memorial Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath targeted Congress over the partition of the country in 1947. In the program organized in Lucknow, he described the partition as one of the most tragic chapters of human history and said that the country was divided due to political ambition to gain power.

The Chief Minister said that during Partition, a large number of people had to leave their homes and birthplace. That tragedy of violence and displacement had a deep impact on societies and families. He said that instead of merely remembering the incidents of partition, it is important to understand its reasons and learn from them.

Internal differences said to be the main reason for slavery

Yogi Adityanath also talked in detail about the reasons for India's slavery. He said that there was no dearth of power, intelligence and glory in the country, yet India had to face foreign rule for a long time.

According to the Chief Minister, there were mainly two reasons behind this. Firstly, mutual differences within the society and secondly, internal and external conspiracies. He said that when the society is divided on the basis of caste, region and language, then external forces and conspirators get the opportunity to fulfill their objectives.

He said that in history such circumstances resulted in the weakness of the country and ultimately slavery. Therefore, society should rise above old differences and give priority to national interest.

Appeal to learn from history

The Chief Minister said that history is not just a subject to be studied in the examination. History gives society the opportunity to understand its past, identify mistakes, and chart a better path for the future.

He also highlighted the purpose of celebrating Partition Horrors Memorial Day. According to him, the importance of this day lies in remembering the sufferings of those people as well as making the coming generations aware of the causes of partition and its consequences.

Yogi appealed to the society to end mutual differences and give top priority to the unity and integrity of the country. He said that any kind of social division can affect the strength of the country.

Emphasis on keeping unity and integrity paramount

In his address, the Chief Minister said that the unity of India is not only the need of the present but also the responsibility of future generations. He called upon the people to avoid differences based on caste, region and language and remain united in the national interest.

Recalling the tragedy of Partition, he said that it is important to understand the events of the past so that the society does not allow the same situations to arise again. During the programme, the people who lost their lives in Partition and the families who suffered the pain of displacement were also remembered.
