The remaining year of 2026 will be the year of adventure motorcycles. We are saying this because, in the coming months, we will be seeing the launch of not one or two, but a number of new adventure motorcycles. So, if you are also looking to buy an ADV, then this list will surely excite you. Here are the details of all the upcoming adventure motorcycles in India.

One of the most highly anticipated adventure motorcycles in India is the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750. The Chennai-based manufacturer has been testing this motorcycle for a long time, and it is expected to be launched later this year. Once launched, it will become the flagship model in the Himalayan lineup and the most powerful Himalayan ever made.

Powering the Himalayan 750 will be a new 750cc parallel-twin engine derived from Royal Enfield’s existing 648cc platform. This motor is expected to produce around 55 to 60 bhp and 65 Nm of torque. The motorcycle will also get a completely new frame, revised swingarm, monoshock rear suspension, and a remote preload adjuster. Royal Enfield is expected to equip it with a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. This setup will make it suitable for both highway touring and off-road adventures.

Feature highlights of the Himalayan 750 will include a TFT instrument cluster, cruise control, an adjustable windscreen, and a large fuel tank for long-distance journeys. As for the pricing, this ADV is expected to be priced between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 5 lakh.

The world’s second-largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, is gearing up to launch its biggest and most capable XPulse motorcycle till date. The upcoming XPulse 421 has already been spotted testing multiple times and will directly rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

Powering this motorcycle will be a new 421cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which will produce around 38 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. Hero is focusing heavily on off-road capability with this motorcycle. It is expected to feature long-travel suspension, upside-down front forks, rear monoshock suspension, and a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup.

The Italian superbike manufacturer, Aprilia, is also gearing up to enter the middleweight adventure motorcycle segment with the Tuareg 457. This motorcycle will target riders looking for a lightweight yet powerful ADV machine. The Tuareg 457 will come powered by a 457cc parallel-twin engine.

This engine will be capable of producing around 47 bhp. The Tuareg 457 will be a lightweight ADV and offer agile performance on and off-road. The motorcycle will feature rally-inspired styling and a premium overall package. It is expected to be launched either later this year or by early 2027. As for the pricing, it will range between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 5 lakh.

Bajaj Auto is also currently working on a new adventure-touring motorcycle based on the Dominar platform. Test mules of this upcoming model have already been spotted on Indian roads. Most likely, this ADV will be called the Dominar X, and it will take on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

Unlike the current Dominar 400, the new motorcycle is expected to use a 349cc engine. This decision has most likely been taken to take advantage of the GST reduction benefits. Motorcycles under 400cc are now being taxed at a lower GST rate of 18 percent.

The Dominar X will feature a more rugged design with a front beak, dual-sport stance, and improved touring ergonomics. It will target buyers who want long-distance touring motorcycles with adventure styling.

Apart from the Himalayan 750, Royal Enfield is also working on the development of the Himalayan 440. This motorcycle will bring back the simplicity and rugged character of the original Himalayan with modern upgrades. The Himalayan 440 will be powered by a 443cc air/oil-cooled engine.

It will produce around 25 bhp and 34 Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of the design, it is expected to retain the familiar rugged and functional look of the original Himalayan. This model will mainly target riders who want a simple and much more accessible adventure motorcycle rather than a high-performance machine.

TVS-owned Norton Motorcycles will also be soon entering the Indian adventure motorcycle segment with the Atlas and Atlas GT. Both of these motorcycles have already been spotted testing and are expected to arrive sometime in 2026. The standard Atlas will be the more off-road-focused model and is expected to feature USD front forks, wire-spoke wheels, dual disc brakes, a large windscreen, and a digital instrument cluster.

The Atlas GT, on the other hand, will focus more on long-distance touring and premium comfort. As for the features, the Atlas GT is expected to come offered with keyless ignition, an 8-inch TFT display, four riding modes, traction control, and a bi-directional quickshifter.

Powering both motorcycles will be a 585cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, which will make around 68 bhp. Norton could also introduce a slightly detuned version producing around 50 to 55 bhp. These motorcycles will be manufactured in India by TVS and are expected to be priced between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 6.5 lakh.

BMW Motorrad is also expected to expand the F 450 GS lineup with a new Sport trim. This variant is expected to offer a more aggressive styling package. It could also get additional features over the standard model. At the moment, the exact details have not yet been revealed. However, reports suggest that the Sport trim could make its debut before the end of 2026.
