Earlier this year, Skoda Auto India has updated the Kushaq midsize SUV with subtle exterior and interior tweaks and an automatic gearbox. The Czech automaker is now gearing up to introduce the Slavia facelift on August 18, 2026. While official details are still under the wraps, the sedan is expected to receive minimal design changes and new features along with a new automatic transmission.
New AT Gearbox
Under the hood, the 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift is expected to feature the existing 115bhp, 1.0L turbo and 150bhp, 1.5L TSI petrol engines. The 1.0L TSI engine will come with 6-speed manual and a new 8-speed automatic transmission options, with the latter replacing the existing 6-speed unit. Meanwhile, the 1.5L TSI petrol engine will continue to be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Revised Styling
The teaser shows the Slavia’s silhouette while covering most of the design details. Spy shots suggest that the new Skoda Slavia will feature a slightly revised grille, redesigned front bumper, updated headlamps and fog lamp housing. The side profile is expected to remain largely unchanged. However, the newly-designed alloy wheels could give it a refreshing look.
Dimensionally, the new Slavia will remain unchanged. It will continue to measure 4,541 mm in length, 1,752 mm in width, and 1,507 mm in height. The sedan has a wheelbase of 2,651 mm, a ground clearance of 179 mm, and a boot space of 521 litres.
More Features
The interior layout will remain unchanged, while the updated model will receive several new features. The new 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift is likely to get a larger 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, rear seat massage function and new seat upholstery.
Rest features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the Google Gemini AI assistant, dual colour ambient lighting, 6-way powered seats with ventilation, wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control, front parking sensors, six airbags, hill hold assist,, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and more will also be carried over.
