Mohanlalganj, Lucknow. Before Independence Day, an atmosphere of patriotism was seen in District Jail Lucknow on Friday. Under the leadership of Senior Superintendent RK Jaiswal, a Tricolor Yatra was taken out in the prison premises. Prison officers, staff and prisoners participated enthusiastically in the yatra.
According to the prison administration, the Tricolor Yatra started from the second gate. The yatra passed through Girda courtyard and reached the women's complex via circle numbers 5, 3, 2, 1 and 4. After this the journey ended by reaching the main gate of the prison.
During the yatra, the prisoners welcomed the tricolor by showering flowers in different circles. The entire prison complex echoed with slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram'. Patriotism and enthusiasm were visible among the prisoners.
At the conclusion of the visit, Senior Superintendent RK Jaiswal addressed the officers and employees. To make the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign successful, he instructed everyone to hoist the tricolor at their homes on the occasion of 15th August. He called for strengthening the spirit of national unity and integrity.
During this time, jailers Hrithik Priyadarshi, Sunil Dutt Mishra, Abhay Kumar Shukla and all the deputy jailers, guards and a large number of prisoners were present. According to the prison administration, such events promote positive thinking and patriotic feelings among the prisoners.
