The circle could close exactly where it all began. The Oklahoma City Thunder are reportedly considering bringing Russell Westbrook back to OKC next season, even if only for one day.
According to the latest reports, the franchise would like to offer Westbrook a one-day contractgiving him the opportunity to wear a Thunder uniform one more time and play one final game in front of the Oklahoma City crowd.
It would be the perfect ending to an 18-season career. Westbrook spent 11 years with the Thunderbecoming the face of the franchise and winning the 2017 NBA MVP in OKC.
After his retirement announcement, which came in recent hours, only one final farewell would remain. And for Russell Westbrookclosing it all out in front of his home crowd, wearing that No. 0 jersey on his back, would inevitably carry a special meaning.
