Auto maker Skoda has released the first official teaser of its mid-size sedan car Slavia Facelift. This car is going to enter the Indian market in a new avatar on 18th August. This mid-life update of the company is coming with changes in design, new features in the cabin and transmission options.

How will the new design be? These features will change
According to auto experts and the models seen during testing, major changes will be seen in the front and rear profiles of the Skoda Slavia facelift. The company’s signature butterfly grille, newly designed bumper and connected LED DRL strip can be given in the front of the car. Apart from this, new alloy wheels are being added to give a new look to the side profile.
The interior has a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. Along with this, new comfort features have been included for the convenience of the driver and passengers.
- Massage Function: Massage feature is expected to be provided in the rear seats.
- Ventilated Seats: Ventilated seats with electric adjustment will be available in the front row.
- Smart Features: Wireless phone charger, automatic climate control and electric sunroof.
What changed in engine and performance?
Skoda is not making any mechanical changes in the engine setup of its new sedan. In this, the option of two petrol engines of the existing model will remain intact:
- 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine: This 3-cylinder engine generates power of 115hp. It will have the option of 6-speed manual and updated automatic gearbox.
- 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine: This 4-cylinder engine generates 150hp power, which is offered for performance-loving drivers.
Market impact and competition
In the Indian sedan segment, the Skoda Slavia facelift will compete directly with cars like Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City. The company will announce its official prices at the event to be held on August 18.
