Sourav Ganguly's statement on death threats

While talking to media persons, Sourav Ganguly said, 'Such cases have come up before and everything becomes fine later. Same thing will happen this time also. We have informed the police about this matter and they are taking action on it. It is expected that the police will take strict action in this matter and they have adequate security.

In fact, former Indian captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and his wife Donna Ganguly had received death threats through letters. A letter was sent to him by courier. Ganguly's personal secretary had lodged a written complaint in this regard at Thakuparpukar police station.

For the last several months, some unknown person was continuously sending letters containing objectionable comments against Ganguly to the former Indian cricketer. Along with writing hateful words against Saurav and Donna, he had also threatened to kill them and those working for them.

Sourav Ganguly gave statement regarding Mohammed Shami

Ganguly said, 'Shami has performed very well for the Indian team. Only the selectors will be able to tell whether Shami will return to the Indian team or not. Shami's performance in domestic cricket while playing for Bengal was excellent.
